End-to-end encryption, designed so only you can open your files.
voidFS is designed to encrypt each file, its name and its folder on your Mac before upload, with keys only you hold. File sizes, access times and service metadata stay visible.

How your files stay yours
-
Encrypted before upload
Contents, file names and folders are designed to be encrypted on your Mac, so our servers hold only scrambled data.
-
Only you hold the key
voidFS is designed never to receive your key or recovery phrase in a readable form. So it can’t open your files, and it can’t reset your access.
-
Twelve words to get back in
Your recovery phrase is designed to restore your account and files on a new Mac. Anyone with it can get in, so keep it private. If you lose it and every trusted Mac, nobody can restore access.
What encryption doesn’t hide
What we see
- The size of each encrypted file
- When a file is uploaded or accessed
- How much storage the account is using
- The IP address of a connection
- How many devices the account has
- Which encrypted objects are accessed together
What voidFS is designed not to see
- What is inside a file
- A file’s name
- Folder names, and which folder a file is in
- Your key
- Your recovery phrase
Encryption hides what is in your files, not that they exist or when you use them.
